This year marks 45 years since our client, The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) was founded. It began with a small group of self-employed individuals who came together to lobby the Government for changes to the unfair National Insurance system for the self-employed.
They succeeded and forty-five years on, FSB is now the most powerful campaigning group on behalf of UK smaller businesses. Senior politicians, government ministers, the Bank of England and other key decision makers regularly listen to FSB to help shape their work and policies.
In order to mark this milestone we were asked to design a commemorative logo, celebrating their 45th Anniversary which could then be applied to collateral throughout the year.
We presented a series of concepts to FSB and it was the abstract form of a paint brushed ’45’ which caught their eye. Whilst handwritten forms aren’t usually the favoured option when working within the professionalism of FSB’s brand, the choice shows a loosening of existing restrictions and could allow for more freedom in the future.
This commemorative logo has now been applied to numerous pieces of FSB collateral including emailers, programmes and exhibition stands.
It is great to work with a client who have such steeped history and one who have had continued success throughout this period. We wish them a very Happy Birthday and hope they have more continued success for years to come. Keep a look out as we might be back again in 5 years time, celebrating with a new 50th anniversary logo.
